SUPPORT LENNY'S COMEDY CHALLENGE
Des bishop has set up a major challenge for Lenny from the Red Rooster breakfast show on Red FM - a warm up slot at live at the marquee this Friday night in front of thousands of people. Small problem …Lenny has never done a standup Comedy gig in his life. Here’s the catch, if we raise over 5000 euro for Barnardos Children’s Charities then Lenny has to perform, there is no way out. We want Lenny’s warm up act to make a lot of money for Barnardos Children’s Charities. Please make a donation to AIB PATRICKS STREET CORK REDFM DONATION ACCOUNT acc number: 3670 6396 SORT 93 42 83. You can also drop in donations into Red FM 1 UTC Bishopstown Cork. There is a collection bucket at reception.
Your support means a lot!
Thanks’
Red Rooster team.
VIRAL VIDEO OF THE DAY - GANGSTA' TREADMILL
FAIL! BUT HILARIOUSLY SO!!
DID YA HEAR MY MAGIC NUMBER EARLIER? IT WAS 567 AND HERE'S WHY THE VID ABOVE IS THE 'WHACKY' PROOF (LITERALLY WHACKY IN THIS CASE!)
Of all the most ridiculous, silly, stupid things to do, worm charming must be one of them. Oh for goodness sakes people! They even have friggin competitions for this “sport”. Hmm and this year, at Britain’s World Worm Charming Championships, a record was smashed by Sophie Smith. She managed to charm herself 567 worms to the surface in 30 minutes. Evidently the skill is in the vibration you make to attract the worms to the surface. With many believing (including a U.S. neuroscientist) the key is to make a similar sound to that of a mole (handy to know). So how does Mae West sound again? However, each to their own, many competitors have their own special tactics to lure the worm, including strumming a guitar, banging a drum, playing a bottle xylophone or simply tap dancing to the Star War theme.
JACKSON'S AMAZING O2 REHEARSAL PIX - 2 DAYS LATER THAT WAS IT....
These are the images of Michael Jackson which millions of fans were hoping to see firsthand at his sell-out gigs at London's O2 arena.
Taken just two days before his death, the pictures reveal how the King of Pop looked fit and healthy and was ready to give the performance of his life. Towering at the front of the stage and hailing the would-be crowd with a finger point salute, Jacko's was rehearsing in LA ahead of his 50 gig stretch. Any doubt that the superstar would not be able to pull off his famous moonwalk and stage slides were dispelled by witnesses to the warm-ups. 'Michael was in better former than for years. He was preparing for what would have been an absolutely incredible show.''He was laughing and joking with his dancers. He seemed to have so much energy – it's hard to believe 48 hours later he was dead,' a source told The Sun. The set of pictures also reveal Jacko was ready to take things back to basics, wearing one of his trade mark hats with his hair pegged back in a ponytail in one costume ensemble. He was laughing and joking with his dancers. He seemed to have so much energy – it's hard to believe 48 hours later he was dead.
Flanked by young dancers in the pictures, a perspirating Jackson looks like he could easily keep up with his young pretenders even at the age of 50. In the background, a set equally as impressive, used an urban factory structure to house more dancers that writhed about in window frames. A second backdrop shows Michael's tour slogan 'This Is It' brandish behind him as he leads another high energy dance routine. Other snaps show the performer smiling as he practiced his classic back catalogue. There are now whispers that the final footage of Jackson's final run through will be edited down and screened to heartbroken fans.

HEY NICE WATERMELONS!
A group of Bulgarian women are suing a drinks firm over an ad which shows a woman in a bikini under the slogan: 'the watermelon season is here'.
The ad, featuring a model in a melon-coloured bikini, has infuriated women's groups who say the country's men are already bad enough without any encouragement. Now a group of 13 women are suing manufacturers Peshtera. "You can't walk down the street now without some a**hole shouting, 'Hey - nice watermelons' and trying to see if they are ripe," a spokeswoman said.

HAVE FUN WITH YR OLD ACTION FIGURES...
CHECK OUT THE HALF FRO!
A drug dealer hauled in by the cops was furious after having an extremely bad hair day recorded on his mug shot. Marcus Bailey, 25, is accused of foolishly stepping out mid-haircut to conduct a drug deal. His giant afro was being turned into braids meaning he looked likes someone had taken a shearer through a third of his hair. But cops were waiting for him to make the deal and pounced, refusing to allow him to clear up his hair for prison. Bailey was reportedly furious - not with getting caught, but having a bad hair day. His mug shot is a web hit, dubbed the half-fro.

Johnny Depp is almost unrecognisable as the spooky looking Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's new version of Alice In Wonderland. The Hollywood heartthrob sports curly orange hair, yellow eyes, pale skin and pink lipstick to play Lewis Carrol's potty character. Depp can be seen in the first official pictures of the cast, which have been released by Disney.
Anne Hathaway, Matt Lucas, Alan Rickman, Stephen Fry and Helena Bonham Carter also star in the movie, which will be also released in 3D on March 12 2010. Australian newcomer Mia Wasikowska, 19, plays Alice, who is struggling to fit into Victorian society.
Escaping from a garden party, she stumbles down a rabbit hole and into Wonderland where she gets roped in to a revolt against the crimson monarch. Burton's real-life partner Bonham Carter plays the Red Queen who has has overthrown her sister, the White Queen (Hathaway), turning the once peaceful Wonderland into a place of paranoia and fear.
Little Britain star Lucas has been digitally manipulated using motion-capture technology to play twins Tweedledee and Tweedledum.
Christopher Lee as the Jabberwock and Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar, Stephen Fry as The Cheshire Cat, and Crispin Glover as The Knave of Hearts.
