Mannix Flynn is a professional artist and a Dublin City Councillor for the South East Area. Elected in June 2009. He was born in 1957 in Dublin City's Mercer Street, just off St Stephens Green. His artistic work includes plays, novels, visual art, performance and film. He has been committed over a long period of time to issues of justice and equality such justice for the residential insitituional abuse of children, for the Magdalene women and for fairness and equality in social housing. He is a strong advocate of cultural democracy, accountability and transparency.

He is no rapper...although he clearly has friends in Taipei, capital of Taiwan...go figure...
