Last night was the start of the Corks Got talent Heats, 18 act played to a packed audience in Scott’s bar, with the fabulous Dave Mac of Red FM acting as MC. The night was a mixture of Musicians, singers and groups, battling it out to be picked for the Semi Final. The Judges included Shay Spain, Martin O’Brien & Niamh Hegarty. The acts that have made it through to the Semi Final in the Commons Inn on the 20th of February are Karla Conway from Killeens, Thomas Mc Carthy from Togher, James O’Mahony from Tivoli, The Sirens of Sound i.e. Mc Elhinney Sisters from Whites Cross, Kate Murphy Cork City, Alicia Cahill from Cobh and Leon Buckley from Minane bridge. Tonight Heat is being held at the Red Cove in Mahon and the next night in Scott’s is Thursday 4th.
